If you could only give one tip, not lots of tips, but just one, to a person starting out as a sound designer/music producer/audio professional… what would it be?
Would it be what gear to get, or not get? Which courses and training programmes are worth the investment? Or which skills to learn? FM? Additive Synthesis? Foley?
In my view the most powerful tip is to make the most of your cooperative powers as a member of the human race. You can learn skills and tools later, but first, get really good at having fun working with other people. It’ll make everything easier later!
