Inspiration for a song can come from anywhere—life experience, nature, a good book—even a sample. In this video, music producer Alex Wilke and artist Francis Karel collaborate during a recording session to write an entire pop song from scratch. Using Arcade, they demonstrate how to turn a vocal sample into a song—from the first spark of inspiration, to building out the song sections, lyrics and all. Wilke shows off effective pop vocal production techniques in Ableton Live that help the two of them stay in their creative flow.
