ASQ-1 - Poly Sequencing

「 ASQ-1 Poly Sequencing 」🧚✨ Sequencing the Squid Salmple’s 3 V/Oct channels using the 3 pitch outs of the ASQ-1. Chords are produced by the first 2 Sequencer tracks with a lead ‘arpeggio’ from the Quantiser track.

Starting from the first Sequencer track of the ASQ-1, a pitch sequence is recorded in live, triggering a saw wave pluck sample on channel 6 of the Squid. The keyboard is then switched to control Sequencer 2 where a harmony is recorded on top of the first sequence, triggering an identical saw wave pluck sample copied over to channel 7 of the Squid. With the 2 sequences now acting like one chord progression, CV7 of the AXON-2 is assigned to control the frequency of the filter on both Squid channels, further linking them via modulation from the same envelope. The CV7 offset of the AXON is reduced to darken the sound of the chords and emphasise the pluck of the external envelope.

🪄Finally, a 3rd copy of the saw wave pluck sample on channel 8 of the Squid is revealed by increasing the CV6 offset of the AXON (preassigned to level). The sample is ‘arpeggiated’ by a standard rising ramp wave from Pamela’s PRO Workout connected to the Quantiser input of the ASQ-1 to be converted into stepped ascending notes. The keyboard of the ASQ-1 is switched to control the Quantiser track where different notes are disabled live to alter the arpeggio.
